Job Description:
Babylon Micro-Farms provides an indoor farming service to help businesses grow fresh produce all year round. Our farms are powered by Babylon’s proprietary technology that makes it easier than ever before to grow fresh food. Our farms grow the highest quality, most nutritious produce on the market. We do so using 90% less water than conventional farming without the use of any pesticides of harmful chemicals. We eliminate barriers to entry for people to begin sourcing their produce sustainably using our on-site Micro-Farms.
The Business Development role is designed to support Babylon’s growth goals by identifying, qualifying and distributing target opportunities to the Sales Team and Business Development Director. This is done through voice, email and digital marketing campaigns. The Business Development Representative is responsible for handling these inbound leads and qualifying the opportunities using set processes and best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Qualify and size contacts/leads as opportunities suitable for hand-off to Sales Team Members using internal processes and best practices
- Cultivate target contacts/leads via email and phone with the support of our CRM
- Hit targets for calls per day (Up to 25-50 calls per day)
- Hit Target: 30-40 scheduled demo’s per month
- Collaborate with Sales & Account Managers to convert targets into active customers
- Distribute qualified and cultivated opportunities to the Sales Team
- Reassign contacts/leads to an alternate process stage based on results
- Measure results to focus activity and process on most valuable opportunities to improve results
Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in phone sales, call center or similar type position
- B2B sales (Ideally high value physical products Ex: Solar) and/or service
- Hubspot/Zoho/Salesforce, or similar CRM, experience
- Outgoing, positive personality
- Customer-oriented with strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Results-driven
- Professional phone skills
- Ability to engage with new prospects/people daily
